Spring Wedding Ideas 2027
Springtime brides - welcome to your wedding inspiration guide!
In this blog you’ll find spring wedding theme ideas, suggestions for where to get married in the spring and wedding color palette ideas.
But first, why should you consider getting married in the spring?
Spring is a beautiful season that represents new beginnings. There are so many lovely, delicate things that bloom and happen in this particular season, and for a very short period of time. Spring, especially late spring, also allows for warm temperatures, less rain, and you’re not quite yet caught in the heat of summer. From a planning perspective, if you’re preparing for an intimate spring time wedding, you can also ideally spend the slow winter months working on all the details.
Now let’s jump into some inspiration and ideas…
Spring wedding detail inspiration:
Lace
Butterfly details
Silk or satin ribbons
Seasonal floral touches
Glass and crystal and china
Lemon themed or edible flower themed desserts
Elevated or fresh fabrics - chiffon, linen, tulle or satin
Script stationery, flower-pressed invitations, watercolor details
Signature spring cocktails and drinks - Waterlily, Elderflower Spritz, Rosé
Spring wedding theme ideas:
Garden Party
Cocktails in teacups, high tea dessert tables, victorian couches and rugs, and bridal portraits among rose-lined paths.
Parisian
Spring and Paris are a match made in heaven! If you can’t get married in Paris, the next best thing is to make it your theme! I wrote a blog about it… click here. Ideally you could pick a venue that sits by a river, has an elegant garden, or is in an older part of town that has brick streets and historic buildings.
Your Childhood Backyard
Dinner under the stars, stealing kisses on the swing under the old oak tree, your grandmother’s china, and strung lights across the yard where you grew up. You can read two other blog posts featuring backyard weddings both here and here! This is a perfect theme for those who feel extra sentimental and nostalgic for their days of growing up and spending hours in their parents backyard.
Seaside Escape
Barefoot vows as the tide slips away, dinner in a sunroom filled with seashells set as decor. Whether along the California coast, Rosemary Beach in Florida, or seaside in Italy, getting married near a body of water gives you a naturally beautiful environment to begin with.
Southern Estate
A historic mansion, sweet tea and lemonade, beautiful English style gardens, fountains and patios. Tennessee and the surrounding states have so many beautiful and historic estates that are perfect for a wedding. If you want an elevated feel to your wedding and love the south, this is a perfect spring time theme.
A Countryside Picnic
If you want to do something fun but simple, this is a great idea! Set up picnic tables and purchase cute table cloths to cover them. Have a large basket on each table with all of the picnic fixings for guests inside! String up some twirling lights, and rent a dance floor so you can dance under the stars.
Bridgerton
For the regal and romantic brides! A string quartet, and/or classical music played throughout the wedding day, candlelight, and endless amounts of flowers! I wrote a blog about it… click here.
Looking for a wedding photographer?
I’m a romantic and an old soul, and I specialize in photographing intimate weddings.
You've intentionally invested so much thought into your venue, the beauty of how it’s designed, and your guest list. Most weddings move very quickly, filled with strict timelines, expectations of family, and a constant subtle pressure to perform. This pulls you out of the very moments you've been looking forward to and planning.
You deserve imagery that looks like how the day felt.
Without intention, even the most beautiful days can feel like they slipped away faster than you could experience and enjoy them.
This is for couples who:
-Care deeply about the experience of their day, and the beauty of how it's designed
-Don’t want the day to feel rushed or overly directed
-Want emotion filled photos more than staged ones
Spring wedding color palette ideas:
Watercolors - pale and faded colors that feel like you’re living in a Monet painting. You could consider hiring a local painter to display their work as part of the decor.
Parisian Pastels - pinks, purples and blues combined that make you think of the City of Love. Utilizing antique mirrors and script writing would go perfectly with this.
Provence - Lavender, dusty blue, pale gray, and soft cream. Inspired by Provençal fields and gentle skies, this combination evokes serenity and charm. You could do a lavender item as gifts for guests to take home.
Peach & Buttercream - Apricot, buttercream yellow, ivory, and a touch of soft coral. Cheerful yet refined, this palette feels like sunshine and laughter. Accents of lace would look lovely with this.
Champagne Toast - Muted mauve, champagne, dusty rose and cream. Understated luxury - feels sophisticated and modern yet undeniably romantic. Draping fabric would go beautifully with this.
Bluebell Meadows - Bluebell blue, pale yellow and white with the slightest touches of silver. Like a sunny morning after rain. Hopeful and airy.
