Creative and romantic bride and groom photos.
Rather than doing a lot of couples portraits all at once, I like to break up the day with 10 minutes of taking couples photos. This helps you stay present for festivities throughout your day, gives you a wider variety of images, and also allows you small windows of time to get away so the two of you can enjoy moments alone together.
For the ceremony there was a string quartet, parasols and fans to help guests combat the summer heat, and the space was decorated with gorgeous florals that felt like they were out of a Monet painting.
French wedding music ideas:
La Vie en Rose by Edith Piaf - the French love song of ALL love songs! I walked down the aisle to two of my best friends playing and singing this.
La Mer by Charles Trenet - a classic covered by many
Les rues de Paris - a sweet little French instrumental song
Romantique by Brigitte Bardot - is it truly a French themed wedding without Brigitte?
Sit tu vois ma mere by Sidney Bechet - you’ll likely recognize this from the movie Midnight In Paris
Paris by Edith Piaf - you really can’t go wrong with Edith!
Why you should consider The Cordelle for your French themed wedding:
This Victorian style home was originally built in the 1800’s, and they added on a spacious indoor area. There is also a small but beautiful garden area, and a covered porch. This location oozes Southern elegance, making it an easy choice for those who want a gorgeous venue, but who also want a blank canvas to be able to bring their own unique wedding vision to life.
For this French themed wedding there were flowers galore, and the color scheme reminds me of watercolor paints.

Consider doing some couples photos at dusk for a subtly sexy vibe on the wedding day.
I’ve always loved when couples do one final dance before heading out for the night…

A Nashville Wedding and Elopement Photographer
I’m a romantic and an old soul, and I specialize in photographing intimate weddings for couples who are deeply in love - those who want to get lost in the magic of their day, rather than lost in the stress of a large event. I photograph using a combination of digital and timeless 35mm film, and my husband second shoots film photos while also capturing vignettes of your day with video postcards! Every couple also receives a book with written memories and photos from their wedding day, and a hard drive with all of their wedding photos. If this sounds like you, let’s get to know one another and talk about capturing your dream day!
