Many venues feel either too large and impersonal, requiring you to fill a lot of space. Or they feel too small and restrictive. The Sloane is the perfect size, holding up to 200 for standing room.
From the moment you arrive, The Sloane feels like a place you can call home for the day. What started as an abandoned historic home became one of the most elegant properties in all of Germantown. With influences from Parisian and London design, you'll spend your day surrounded by beauty and elegance. One of my personal favorite features are the high ceilings.

The original design idea of The Sloane was very different, but after the family’s trip to Europe, they decided to change their design plans. The wallpaper, the elegant light fixtures and marble flooring… it truly feels like you’ve been transported to Paris..

In the heart of Germantown: Why your wedding venue location matters.
Not only does the venue influence the tone of the day, but so does the neighborhood. Germantown offers so much to you and your guests, and in true European fashion, it is extremely walkable (unlike the rest of the city). From coffee shops, to parks, bars and restaurants - it's a great place to rent an AirBnB, or stay at the beautiful Germantown Inn

There’s never a guaruntee that a venue’s outside and garden area will live up to the reputation of the interiors. But that is not the case with The Sloane.
With a beautiful back patio that can be used in the warmer months, or winter with proper tenting and heating, it is a beautiful extension of the ballroom. Just a few steps away you will find their petit jardin - the perfect garden space for either a small ceremony, first look, or family portraits.
The front of the historic home has the most darling porch. You’ll definitely want to take advantage of it for individual, or couples portraits!
