Nashville Couples Getaway 2025
Plan the perfect romantic getaway for you and your lover in Nashville, TN!
As someone who loves traveling to places like NYC and Paris, but who chooses to be a Nashville local, I can tell you with full honestly that this city has SO much to offer couples who want to plan a romantic getaway! While there are a lot of things this city is known for, I’m going to share with you the neighborhood that is it’s best kept secret.
If you consider yourself to be a romantic and an old soul, I’m going to give you a detailed plan for how to have the dreamiest time in Music City! Let me introduce you to Germantown…
Romantic hotels and stays in Germantown:
There is really only one neighborhood that is perfectly fitting for a romantic and old soul, and that is Germantown. This happens to be one of the oldest neighborhoods in the city, and is one of the few walkable ones. Every single time my husband and I have friends or family visit, they immediately fall in love with the charm of this area, and how accessible everything is. You have multiple coffee shops, restaurants, a spa and nail salons, shopping, bars, parks, and so many beautiful old buildings! It also doesn’t tend to get as loud and busy as other neighborhoods - it’s one of Nashville’s best kept secrets! Check out Germantown Inn, or look for AirBnBs in the area (but make sure you stay on the east side of Rosa L Parks Blvd). If you want to be able to walk to a lot of different places and have a more relaxing visit, it is 100% the right neighborhood for you to stay in.
Best restaurants in Germantown:
Some of the BEST restaurants are located in this neighborhood! If you like Italian then Pelato (Brooklyn style) and Rolf & Daughters (more modern with seasonal menus) are going to be an absolute dream. The dessert and drinks at Rolf is superior in my opinion. Pelato does small plates and is ideal if you’re wanting to try a lot of things.
If you’re craving American, 5th & Taylor (with a southern emphasis - get their seasonal pie), Butchertown Hall (Texas bbq - their ribs and queso are top tier), and Geist (great for brunch) are the top three I’d recommend.
Other honorable mentions are Fishmonger (delish fish but low key - best key lime pie I’ve ever had), O-ku (sushi lovers - this is one of the few good spots for sushi in town), The Optimist or Henrietta Red (for a ritzy seafood experience), City House for pizza (and their Tennessee Waltz cake is diviiiiine), and the Mas Tacos truck or Steam Boys, or Little Hats for a quick bite on weekends.
If you’re looking for breakfast, try E+Rose for bowls and smoothies, Germantown Cafe for a standard breakfast fare, or Steadfast Coffee.
Best bars in Germantown:
Not only does Germantown offer a wide variety of food, but it has a surplus of dreamy spots to grab a drink! For wine lovers, if you’re not looking to stay out too late, check out the local bodega known as Spread. They sell a variety of baked goods and other specialty items, and you can buy a bottle of wine and enjoy it on premises! If you’re looking for a proper wine bar with late hours, you absolutely MUST go to Sauced! Originally founded in NYC, they now have locations here and in LA!
The best cocktails in the neighborhood can be found at Le Loup, Rolf & Daughters, Geist, and Close Company.
If you’re looking for a brewery, or a more laid back or dive bar, check out Mother’s Ruin, Bearded Iris Brewery, Monday Night Brewing, or Jack Brown’s!
What to do and enjoy in Germantown:
For a morning or afternoon coffee and people watching, I recommend Elegy, Steadfast, Surefire, Neighborly, Retrograde, or Barista Parlor!
There are plenty of places to shop in this neighborhood for a variety of goods. Be sure to check out Abednego, The Golden Slipper, Bits and Pieces Antique Boutique, and Blue Smoke Jewelry & Gifts. I believe the cafe Neighborly sells a few items as well.
If you like spas or getting your nails done, I highly recommend House of Hudson Day Spa, and Poppy & Monroe salon!
For picnics and to enjoy some leisurely time outdoors, visit Morgan Park or Bicentennial - perfect spots to bring a blanket and read, talk and relax. Pop by Spread Market beforehand for snacks!
The Nashville Farmers Market is within walking distance. It has some indoor food and gift vendors, and on weekends you can shop outdoors for local produce.
If you like sports, we have a minor league baseball team that plays over at the Sounds Stadium! For sports bars, check out Neighbor’s, or Tailgate Brewery.
If you love history, the Tennessee State Museum is free and full of stories. Perfect for a rainy or cold day!
